@christof @icla_dcl @u_henny As someone in religious studies, I never know if I should feel addressed by this. During my studies, I was taught that religious texts are a form of literature (and we have a big project on multilingual cross-cultural metaphor studies), but reviewers from literary studies proper seem to disagree.
@felwert @icla_dcl @u_henny @tillgrallert Interesting question. I think in comparative literature, many people may be inclined to have a rather broad view of what "literary texts" are, although many in literary studies do so, as well, so actually not sure how your experience matches that.

One way to find out in this particular case might be to see whether anyone of the current / initial members of the group has links to your field / texts / interests? https://icla-dcl.quarto.pub/info/members.html Although I would also say: if that's not the case, it doesn't mean the group won't be happy to have you on board! It's just an initial set of people.
